Ballistics link Khanyile killing gun to AKA murder trial
A ballistics expert told the Durban High Court that the gun used to kill taxi owner Gift Khanyile also killed either AKA or Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane about a year later. Seven men stand trial for the AKA and Tibz murders.
The court heard that fingerprints of Eddie Myeza, accused number three, were found on a getaway car. The car was used in the May 2022 killing of Khanyile at a petrol station in Mayville.
Nathaniel Zechariah, an officer from the SAPS Criminal Records Centre, gave evidence at the trial. He said the state alleges Myeza supplied one of the two guns used to kill either Kiernan "AKA" Forbes or Motsoane.
