CCTV shows alleged hitmen following AKA before his murder

A police technical detective told the Durban High Court that footage from inside Wish Restaurant shows a man following Kiernan "AKA" Forbes around the venue. Seven men are on trial over the 2023 shootings of Forbes and Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane.

SAPS Technical Detective Rajen Sanders gave evidence for the state on Friday. He spoke about CCTV footage from inside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. The state says the footage shows alleged hitmen stalking Forbes for hours on the day he was killed.

Sanders identified accused number 5, Mhlaliseni Ndimande, when state prosecutor Lawrence Gcaba asked about accused number 4, Mziwethemba Gwabini. Ndimande told the court he was at Wish Restaurant. He maintains he was not involved in the murder.

Forbes was shot dead outside Wish Restaurant on 10 February 2023. His friend Motsoane was also shot dead.
