DA's Rasilingwane pledges jobs and clean governance in Ekurhuleni
Ongoing: Elections Hot
Democratic Alliance mayoral candidate Khathutshelo Rasilingwane told supporters at the party's final rally on Saturday that he will also focus on service delivery and public safety. He urged residents to vote DA under the slogan "Stop the chaos".
Rasilingwane said Ekurhuleni needs accountable leadership focused on delivering measurable results. He said the ANC has brought chaos to the city and the DA will replace it with competence.
He gave examples of failing services. A Tembisa grandmother has waited 30 years for a house, and communities in Primrose endured 22 days of water interruptions.
Rasilingwane described his pledges as a commitment to disciplined leadership, decisive leadership and measurable progress. He said: "These pledges are not a claim that every problem will disappear overnight."
