Meyiwa accused Mncube says intruder description does not match him
Mthobisi Mncube, accused number three in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, told the High Court in Pretoria that witnesses described the intruder in a way that contradicts the state's description of the killer. He says he has always been light in complexion.
Mncube testified under cross-examination by state prosecutor Dr Ronnie Sibanda on Thursday. He said witnesses described the intruder who shot Meyiwa as having dreadlocks reaching the neck. He said the state describes the killer as light in complexion, which he says does not fit that evidence.
Mncube is one of five accused on trial for the murder of Meyiwa, the former Bafana Bafana captain. Meyiwa was killed in October 2014. Mncube was expected to continue testifying on Friday.
