Pastor and two co-accused face mental evaluations in Atteridgeville
Self-proclaimed pastor Caiphus Mkhwane, Tsako Makhubela and Amanda Mnguni appeared briefly in court on Thursday. They face rape and murder charges linked to attacks on a 43-year-old mother and her four-month-old baby. The case resumes next Friday.
Makhubela will go to Weskoppies Hospital for evaluation. A district surgeon will test Mkhwane and Mnguni. The three appeared in the Atteridgeville Magistrate's Court.
Mkhwane is 36 years old and faces charges of rape and murder. Makhubela is 25 and is accused of killing the baby. Mnguni is 32, is Mkhwane's wife and is accused of fraud.
