SACP holds Red October rally in Bushbuckridge

The South African Communist Party is expected to hold its annual Red October Siyanqoba Rally in Thulamahashe on Sunday. The rally focuses on the cost-of-living crisis and food insecurity, ahead of the 4 November local government elections.

SACP General Secretary Solly Mapaila is expected to attend the rally. COSATU President Mike Shingange is also expected to attend.

The party will contest the local government elections on 4 November independently of the ANC-led Tripartite Alliance. Thulamahashe is in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga.
