Sasol says mining output hits six-year high
Sasol said higher prices and supportive refining margins helped it in the first quarter of its 2027 financial year. Output at Secunda Operations and Natref fell, but liquid fuels sales volumes rose, and the group said it remains on track for full-year guidance.
Sasol said on Wednesday that output at Secunda Operations and Natref fell in the three months ended September, compared with the previous quarter. Its mining business had the highest quarterly production in six years.
Sasol said Natref's residual crude desulphuriser will restart by the end of October. The company also said it expects volatile operating conditions to continue.
