SASSA moves November grant payment dates for elections

The South African Social Security Agency will pay older persons' grants on Friday, 30 October, and disability grants on Monday, 2 November. Children's grants follow on Tuesday, 3 November. National Treasury approved the revised schedule.

SASSA said the new dates aim to prevent disruptions to payments during the local government election period. It said it will process payments according to the revised schedule.

Beneficiaries whose grants are under review get a separate payment date. That date is Thursday, 5 November.
