DA leads Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni in early Gauteng results

With 12% of voting districts declared in Gauteng, partial local election results show Action SA ahead in Tshwane, with the ANC close behind. The DA leads in the other metros and municipalities, and most districts are still to be declared.

In Johannesburg, the DA has 40% of the votes. The ANC has 17% and Action SA has 15%.

In Ekurhuleni, the DA has 42%, Action SA has 19% and the ANC has 16%.

In Tshwane, Action SA has 29% and the ANC has 28%. The DA has 19% of the votes there.
